After an aeon of research and experiments, blood, sweat and tears of wracking their brains, scientists are still clueless as to why we dream, let alone sleep. Neuroscientists and psychologists are at each others’ throats throwing around theories but with no definitive answers. Although, they have managed to nail down what some types of these dreams could mean and thankfully these are pretty common with a majority of folks. Although they have different theories, they still seem to agree when it comes to these.
It feels like falling into an endless pit with no ground in sight. This could indicate anxiety and the presence of overwhelming feelings. This type of dream is a very common occurrence among people.

If you’re scared, it might mean that you’re facing internal conflicts and are unable to change or holding onto something. On the other hand, if you’re feeling free and happy during the dream, it means you’re seeing things with a newer perspective.
This can be a disturbing dream to experience. It indicates that you probably are ignoring some part of yourself or neglecting a problem by not admitting it.

There is a strong belief that your dreams often show how you relate yourself to the world around you. They reveal your feelings and state of mind. They are about you. They are interlinked with your habits and patterns. Since they are essentially of a personal nature, only you are capable of ascertaining what they mean in terms of your life. They should not be discarded easily because although weird, strange and meaningless, they are only seemingly so. There is no research that proves the futility of dreams. Ultimately, they might end up helping us understand things about ourselves.
